Lab Memory
My interest in tumor ablation was cultivated through the mentorship I received from Dr. Fred Lee while in residency at the University of Wisconsin. In addition to gaining superior clinical training in liver, kidney, and lung ablation, I had an incredible experience in the tumor ablation lab where I was able to conduct translational research on the NeuWave microwave ablation system and also lead the preclinical proof of concept study for histotripsy ablation in the liver. The knowledge and experience I gained through my work with the tumor ablation group are invaluable to me as a junior faculty member. I am forever grateful for the mentoring I continue to receive and, most especially, for the friendships that developed through collaboration.
