Katrina Falk, PhD, MS

Katrina is a MD/PhD student in Biomedical Engineering (BME). She completed her PhD in BME at the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the direct guidance of Dr. Paul Laeseke. Her doctoral work focused on characterization and implementation of transcostal histotripsy targeting techniques to improve treatment of liver tumors. She will complete her MD degree in May 2027 and will apply to a medical residency in Radiology. She has a passion for merging the gap between engineering and medicine and aims to be a translational radiologist or radiation oncologist in the future. Outside of medicine and science, she enjoys fishing and golfing with her husband.
