Katrina Falk, MS
Position title: Graduate Research Assistant, PhD
Katrina is a MD/PhD student in Biomedical Engineering (BME). She completed her BS and MS in BME at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before matriculating into the Medical Scientist Training Program at the School of Medicine and Public Health in 2019. She has completed the first three years of medical school and is currently working towards her PhD under the direct guidance of Dr. Paul Laeseke. Her doctoral work focuses on characterization and implementation of transcostal histotripsy targeting techniques to improve treatment of liver tumors. She has a passion for merging the gap between engineering and medicine and aims to be a translational radiologist or radiation oncologist in the future. Outside of medicine and science, she enjoys fishing and golfing with her husband.
