UW Abdominal Imaging Division Rocks the SGR/SUR

The Abdominal Imaging Division was well represented at this year’s Abdominal Radiology Course for Society of Gastrointestinal Radiology and Society of Uroradiology. Drs. Myron PozniakElizabeth Sadowski , David KimPerry PickhardtJ. Louis HinshawJessica RobbinsFred T. Lee, Jr., and Meg Lubner (along with several residents including: Drs. Kendra Hain, Stacey O’Connor, and Meghan Hanson) were responsible for 2 plenary session presentations, 5 scientific presentations, 3 scientific posters, and 4 workshop presentations at this meeting. In addition, Drs. Kim and Pickhardt were part of teaching the VC course at the meeting, Dr. Hinshaw came in 3rd place in the Case of the Day Competition, and Dr. Sadowski received the $10,000 SUR research grant for her project entitled “Non-contrast MRI Techniques: ASL perfusion and BOLD MRI measurements in swine.” Overall, it’s a very impressive showing for the abdominal imaging division at this important national meeting.
